We had a great turnout for the Tumbling Show...the kids did a fantastic job showing off their tumbling skills. It's amazing to see the progression of skills from the youngest primaries to the oldest 1st graders. Thank you Miss Carol for working with the children all year. We love our Thursday Tumbling Class!
To end our study of the continents we enjoyed our own version of "International Day". The children dressed in styles from other cultures, made some unique crafts representing different parts of the world, and tried some international food. The children were very adventurous and tried some new things today.
The children are using Sandpaper Letters, the Moveable Alphabet and "Reading Boxes" as they move toward independent reading. Sandpaper Letters and the Moveable Alphabet are a traditional part of the Montessori Classroom. "Reading Boxes" are part of the California Phonetic Reading Program.
